Spells, wishes, and prayers are concerned with belief, energy that vibrates, goals and outcomes, passively or actively, taking action or letting things happen. Belief is THE one element that is essential for a successful outcome. Another very wise piece of advice to take in when considering this work is that you may get what you want in a way you don’t expect, but in the way that you need it. Trust in that.
We at Art Tripping and BlackBear know how important the arts are in our lives and we want our kids to have those creative opportunities. We want to provide cool musical experiences to build upon what they learn in school.
Therapy and medication are common methods to addressing mental disorders. However, research has found that having a hobby can significantly boost mental health, as well. A 2009 study tracked anxiety levels among subjects with recognized eating disorders who knitted in their spare time. The study found that 74 percent of the evaluated group reported that knitting “had a calming and therapeutic effect,” and significantly reduced their anxiety symptoms linked to eating.
On June 9th, students from Litchfield High School debuted their Alebrijes mural inside of @ The Corner Taco Bar in downtown Litchfield. Although many of them were already familiar with the Alebrijes from the movie “Coco,” the AP Spanish students, taught by Señora Hogan, helped research the art history of the Zapotec folk art spirit animals.
Teaching a Graphic Design class got me thinking, “What about a program that combined the graphic design class with the business & web design class?” The goal would be for students to learn how to set up an e-commerce business using the clubs as clients. Design, business management, and entrepreneurship would be an interdisciplinary curriculum.
